MATTHEW L. LOCATI
President / CEO
As TerraCorp's founder and President, Mr. Locati has overseen company operations and client representation for more than thirty years. His experience includes property management, IT, construction, finance and development.
Mr. Locati worked his way up through the trades starting as a laborer, to a finish carpenter. He puts hands-on experience to use at TerraCorp daily by coordinating development and major capital improvements projects. Mr. Locati instructed at Cal Poly's computer lab in San Luis Obispo, and he directs technology implementation for TerraCorp.
Prior to starting TerraCorp, Mr. Locati joined Hampstead Pacific Development Corporation where he served as Project Coordinator and Operations Manager. Mr. Locati managed the development of various residential and commercial projects, and he established a computerized accounting system for the firm. He was involved in the entitlement, mapping and feasibility analyses for numerous properties, including residential subdivisions, retail centers, a casino and a truck stop.
In 1991, Mr. Locati founded TerraCorp to offer property management, construction management, transaction representation and mortgage financing to multifamily and commercial property owners in Northern California.
Mr. Locati holds a bachelor of science in Business Finance from Cal Poly, SLO, he is a California Department of Real Estate licensed Broker, and a member of numerous property management trade associations. His ongoing education includes certificates in Artificial Intelligence from MIT and in Venture Capital from UC Berkeley Law School.
